Very interesting! I know in China, the traditional bridal gown is red but wearing a white wedding dress has become exceedingly more popular. It is curious to consider if the wearing of white wedding dress could be a symptoms of cultural inferiority as you say. Or maybe its a matter of preference due to popularity, the pressures of conformity and capitalistic globalization that promote white weddings for commerical interest? I hope traditional practices are revived, it's so unique and beautiful!
