Vladimir Nabokov wrote Lolita as a condemnation of the power dynamic of those type of relationships, which was most typical among older men and younger girl in his era. When Lolita (1962) movie premiered, Nabokov said it was a well-made film but was nothing like the book because they white-washed the creepy, pedophilia relationship between a predator and his victim. Basically, they made a disturbing book into a flowery cinema experience that made the viewers feel more bad for the pedophile and not the girl.

Anyways, thank you for writing this article, your feminist articles are such an inspiration for me. Love you and keep on doing what you’re doing.
