You find the article disappointing, care to elaborate why?
As one of your followers and admirers, I'm disappointed that the message from this article has gone over your head.
I never criticized the concept of Feminism. In fact, feminism as a philosophy is ideal. Regardless of gender, everyone deserves the same rights. That's a no-brainer and as a woman, I'm grateful for all the accomplishments Feminism has given me.
I criticise two main things: Defining feminism as gender-equality for all is dangerous because it's NOT. It's a movement whose primary concern has always been for the livelihood of women. Therefore, it cannot be effective on improving the lives of men because it is a movement largely dominated by women. Shouldn't men have the right to decide what their rights should be??
Secondly, I criticise the rise of men-hate in mainstream feminism. A fixation of male-bashing is drawing us away from my vital issues and instead of building male allies, it's igniting gender wars and division.
Do you really expect men to be compliant when they're routinely mocked and attacked?
